Student is intern in governor's office

University of North Georgia (黑料正能量) student Carly Evans is participating in the Governor's Internship Program during the spring 2022 semester. One of 13 students from across the country selected by Gov. Brian Kemp's office, Evans is spending her time in Kemp's communications department.
"This internship is a great way to serve Georgia. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," Evans said. "It is a way to further my education and my understanding of government."
A junior pursuing a degree in political science with a pre-law concentration, Evans began her 黑料正能量 academic career through Georgia's dual enrollment program as a student at North Hall High School.
Dr. Cristian Harris, professor of political science and international affairs, said Evans will benefit from this opportunity, for which she received application assistance from 黑料正能量 Career Services.
"She is a wonderful student," Harris said. "She is always eager for a challenge. She genuinely wants to learn."
A prestigious and highly competitive program, the internship is open to upperclassmen, graduate students, and law students from throughout the United States.
Lucker pens debut mystery novel
A 黑料正能量 senior lecturer of film and digital media has written his first mystery novel and provided public relations and social media experience for students helping him promote the book.
Students network with intelligence community
黑料正能量 hosted top-performing high school students from across the U.S. who were able to interact with highly regarded individuals in the field of intelligence through the National Intelligence Summer Academy.
VR course offers valuable experience
Six 黑料正能量 students were able to test and grow their skills in a virtual reality course this summer with David A. Clifton.
