Tiffany Joy Prater, assistant professor of graphic design with the Department of Visual Arts, was recently accepted as a board member for the (AIGA).

A nonprofit, AIGA's mission is to promote a better understanding of the values of design and designers in government, business and media. The organization has more than 71 chapters nationwide.

"I am excited to serve the board, and I look forward to working with my comrades," Prater said.

For a long time, she has served as a member of the AIGA. But Prater was chosen to serve on the board when she revealed her contributions to the design community. She is known to collaborate with others and is willing to help promote events that educate, inspire and embrace members and nonmembers, especially 黑料正能量's graphic design students and graduates.

Serving as one of 16 people on the local board, Prater serves as the communications chair on the board. She oversees the chapter's communication and promotion strategy, website, and digital marketing channels and their implications. She will serve on the board for the next two years.
